The AKG WMS420 wireless system is designed for use in smaller venues
AKG (HARMAN)
Undertaking its launch at ISE 2014 is the WMS420 wireless system from AKG. Described as a versatile and high-performance single-channel wireless system designed for smaller venues such as schools, town halls and houses of worship, it enables customers to select from four specialised product packages: Vocal Set with AKG D5 handheld microphone; Presenter Set with AKG C555L; Lavalier Set with AKG
C417; and Instrument Set with AKG MKG L cable. “This microphone family enables smaller venues to get just the right system for their needs at the right price they’re prepared to pay without having to compromise on performance, quality or reliability,” said Stephan Scherthan, product line manager, wireless systems, AKG. “It is an extremely flexible single channel package and, I am certain, will advance the quality of sound in smaller venues where one channel is required.” The WMS420 is designed for ease of use, and rack installation is said to be quick and easy. Miniature conversion and scaling
AJA VIDEO SYSTEMS
The ROI mini-converter by AJA, aimed at corporate video and AV professionals, allows high quality conversion and real-time scaling of computer DVI-D and HDMI outputs to baseband video over SDI.

multi-core processor, solid-state drives and custom-designed high-brightness touchscreens, the M6 is capable of delivering up to 64 DMX universes directly from the console’s network ports without using costly external processors. With features like a LiveBlender T-Bar, FastDial rotary encoders, Paired Playback
functionality, image scaling alongside integrated control and a UI, as well as aspect and frame rate conversion – all in the interest of incorporating high quality computer signals into video production. Other features of the ROI include: region of interest scaling control for selective source screen isolation and resolution matching; DVI-D loopthrough to enable SDI signal conversion while maintaining DVI-D monitor connection; audio embedding in SDI output via analogue 3.5mm connector input; and genlock input enabling locked SDI output. buttons and sunlight-readable, multitouch BriteTouch display, Martin says that the M6 is its most advanced console design ever. It offers a total of 44 playbacks, including dual Main Go sections, 10 motorised faders and 12 additional faders, as well as a total of 17 encoders for parameter access. Other features include two
external DisplayPort touchscreens with up to 1920 x
1080 resolution per output, two FastTouch 3.5in touchscreens, eight FastBlend buttons and ten PlayPairs buttons with LCD displays. Based on the M-Series
software platform, Martin claims that the M6 – which is encased in a low profile housing with an adaptable module layout – provides users with the ultimate control surface for fast programming and extensive

Electronic laser pointer is SpotOn INTERSPACE INDUSTRIES
The new SpotOn from Interspace Industries allows presenters to point at an area of interest on the screen without interfering with the host computers or video source devices. Working as a video overlay, a pointer (various types and colours) is moved around in the same way as a laser pointer but with a few differences. For instance, you do not have to
turn your back to the audience to see the screen but watch it on your preview/foldback monitor.
Also, it does not matter how many screens you have: it will be shown on them all, whether the screens are front or back projected or LED. Inputs are HDMI and
DVI-I, and it has analogue VGA as well. A technician can operate the control unit to override anything should the presenter get in to trouble – or just move the point off the screen should they forget it. Stand: 12-B92

includes the SR420 UHF stationary receiver with two external, detachable antennas on the rear side and BNC connectors at standard 50 ohms. The HT420 handheld
transmitter’s and PT420 pocket transmitter’s charging contacts are compatible with the AKG CU400 charging station and a rechargeable battery is included. Reflecting on the new launch, Scherthan added: “AKG’s WMS420 is a high-quality wireless system, with a rugged and reliable Austrian-built D5 microphone to ensure performance quality for on-stage users.” Stand: 1-N34
