Franchise Focus A helping hand

Support equals success with Kare Plus INVESTMENT LEVEL: £40,000

S

ignificant changes in the healthcare sector, together with the UK’s ageing population, have opened the door for franchisees to build a profitable, sustainable and satisfying

business with Kare Plus, based around provision of high-quality care in the local community. The franchise’s success in attracting new national contracts with leading hospital and care home groups, as well as new Service Level Agreements with the NHS, is behind Kare Plus’s continued growth, says director Tom Roe. “We need highly motivated, hard- working and ambitious business people who can service these contracts in regions across the UK,” confirms Tom. We’re passionate about delivering excellent quality care and have invested substantially in strengthening franchise training and

support to equip franchisees to operate successfully in this complex sector.” In the healthcare sector, compliance with strict regulations is key, so this is not a martketplace where people can successfully set up a business without support,” Tom explains. “What Kare Plus offers, in addition to a recognised brand and a strong track record in the sector, is outstanding training and ongoing support.” Franchisees are trained initially to provide nurses and care staff to hospitals and care homes. Further specialised training enables them to gain the necessary Care Quality Commission (CQC) accreditation and expand their service portfolio to include domiciliary care, and a series of workshops are available on particular topics, such as ‘End of Life Care’ or ‘Working with the NHS’. “We definitely couldn’t have set up this business without Kare Plus,” confirms Mitul

Dursheet and Mitul Patel

Patel, who, along with his cousin Dursheet, is one of the latest crop of newly launched Kare Plus franchisees. “At the end of the day, it’s our business, but we have been on a big learning curve and Kare Plus has been there for us whenever we’ve needed help,” he says. “Every day brings new challenges. Neither of us has any previous experience of healthcare, nor of running a business, and there’s a lot to learn, but we’ve had great support from the start and we’re raring to go!” n
