Pühl has space for more than 8,000 pallets in its high shelving warehouse ready prepared for customers to pick-up. “For us it is more important that we are supplying the most valued washer, and a complete service to the customer, rather than the cheapest washer,” states Christoph. To ensure that it delivers a complete service to its customers

The expansion also helped Pühl expand its tooling department, a key part of the company’s ability to adapt to customer requirements. “Throughout the years we have developed an in-depth knowledge and experience in the development of tooling,” says Christoph. “Our customer engineering service enables products and tools to be manufactured directly in accordance with a customer’s specific criteria, using modern CAD-CAM controlled tool making machinery to guarantee high quality.” A further development for Pühl has been a surge of interest

- all of which are applied through a reliable partner. “We are finding that more and more customers are looking


for a full range of surface treatment coatings,” states Christoph. “It has always been something that we could offer but there has definitely been an increase in interest from customers during the last few years. We are finding that customers want washers with specific surface coatings at very short notice, which we are able to supply from our stock. We are very flexible and try to offer the customer the very best solution.” In combination with introducing the latest production equipment and technology, a key aspect to Pühl’s service is its focus on quality. The company’s quality department includes spectral chemical analysis, hardness checking (HV, HB, HRC), surface control and high-speed inspection systems. “Everything you should have for good quality insurance as a manufacturer,” states Christoph. “When it comes to quality control we don’t see it as a requirement but as the only way to produce washers.” Pühl product quality is certified according to EN/ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001. “An important sign of quality for our customers is that all our products are ‘Made in Germany’, which is a real quality guarantee that only the highest standards are acceptable,” says Christoph. “As a company we focus on sustainable customer value and offering the customer a reliable quality product, as well as an excellent service and first class delivery.” He adds: “It is not always about the ‘naked’ sales price. You


can always find products that are cheaper, but once you add in the full costs, such as packaging, transport, payment costs, as well as the importance of quality and having the product available within a short delivery time, customers find that the ‘naked’ price isn’t as attractive as they first thought.” Pühl is finding that customers, especially those who are
