Invisible nailing

Senco says its SLP20XP-GLN secret fix pinner is setting new standards for fastening glazing bars to window frames.

which is later sealed with silicone automatically concealing the pin. Senco points out that apart from the optimal quality and efficiency of this solution, which can be used for all conventional glazing bars, this glazing bar pinner is extremely easy to handle so it can even fix small bull’s eye panes. Senco says its major advantages include nailing direct and concealed in the glazing bar groove so there is no need to patch over the nails which is time-consuming, making the overall quality of workmanship considerably enhanced. Also, nailing with standard pins avoids unnecessary extra cost and eliminates the risk of using the wrong fasteners. As the glazing bar is only secure if the right length fastener is used, nailing with pins up to a length of 38mm is another advantage. Senco explains that using the SLP20XP-GLN will allow nailing without risk of splitting the glazing bar, meaning there is no material wastage because the wood fibre is severed by the pin and not wedged up. It also allows the nailing to be done with ease, as the SLP20 glazing bar pinner is easy to handle due to its compact size and low weight. At only 1,170g Senco says it is approximately 30% lighter than comparable tools. The SLP20XP-GLN is also available with an extended life time nose piece to nail stainless steel pins.

B Power, precision

and performance Arrow Fastener Company LLC, a manufacturer of manual and electric staple and nail guns, as well as glue and rivet tools, has launched its new TacMate™ (T50X) stapler.

T

he TacMate™ (T50X) stapler is a compact, ergonomic tool that Arrow Fastener says does not sacrifice power for size. The advanced polymer housing construction is durable yet still lightweight, and the shorter grip span makes it comfortable for hours of continued use. The non-marring tip is designed to help protect the work surface from any scratches or dents that can be caused by the tool. Arrow Fastener points out that despite being lightweight and smaller

than staplers of a comparable power, the T50X shoots the same standard T50 staples as other models. The release shoots up to a ½ inch staple and the magazine holds up to one full strip of T50 staples at a time. The easy opening magazine latch and bottom loading makes inserting staples easy – there is no pusher rod to lose or bend. The unique latch mechanism makes changing staples a breeze and the integrated colour coding enables the user to purchase the right staples. The TacMate stapler is manufactured under strict guidelines to ensure professional-grade performance, and is backed by Arrow’s one year warranty.
