NORMA raises online presence

NORMA Group, a global market and technology leader for engineered joining technology, has launched its new website and social media platforms, including the launch of the ‘Product Finder’.

T

he Product Finder is the new core element of the website where visitors can get the relevant information on a desired product from a selection of over 30,000 clamps, joining elements and fluid systems with only a few clicks, and application examples illustrate the individual product uses.

“The new Internet presence helps visitors to quickly understand what NORMA Group

stands for and what value our products and solutions add. The website holds a veritable brand experience in store for visitors,” says Bernd Kleinhens, NORMA Group, board member business development. Bernd adds: “NORMA Group is developing swiftly. This dynamic is now also reflected in

our external Internet and social media presence.” NORMA Group has also gone live with its social media channels in order to further increase the company’s communications reach. NORMA Group is now officially on facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and XING, where visitors can get the most current company information and can connect with NORMA Group. NORMA says its re-organised website comes in an innovative design with large-scale imagery and user-friendly navigation to make accessing corporate information quicker. On the homepage, visitors can also find press releases and information on NORMA Group. Over the next couple of weeks, NORMA says its affiliates will roll out their local websites

and the coporate website will be expanded to include additional offerings including job offers, which will be shown centrally on a global career portal where prospective employees can apply online. The website will also house videos with assembly instructions provided in a ‘knowledge centre’ which NORMA hopes will offer additional value to visitors. An English language corporate website has also been launched.

R’s plastics range includes products for PCB hardware and cable management, cable ties and nylon fasteners, as well as the recently introduced plastic-coated aluminium self-adhesive clips and products for polyurethane bumpers. These are perfect for any application requiring a non-slip surface or where sound and vibration damping is required.

“Customers were regularly asking for plastic fasteners,” said Kevin Rogers, plastics product manager at TR. “So instead of it being an add-on to an order, it made sense to sit down with them and look at their entire production process and see where plastic could be used as a suitable alternative to traditional metal ones. TR Fastenings is committed to developing plastic fasteners that are a ‘clear alternative’ to existing high-price brands in the market place.” TR’s plastic range meets with the necessary industry standards and sizes, all products satisfy the RoHS compliance legislation, are ISO 14001/2004 compliant and are available in flame-retardant versions.

TR Fastenings to manufacture Phillips drive systems As part of an on-going programme to increase the number of services and products

available to its customers, TR Fastenings has come to an agreement with Phillips Screw Company whereby it will manufacture, under licence, Phillips’ complete range of industrial drive systems. TR Fastenings already owns the Pozidriv® in the EU, and also both the MAThread®

trademark for the UK, and Torx®

licences.

Geoff Budd, managing director at TR Fastenings, comments: “Our engineering and manufacturing capabilities have made us an industry leader, so it is a natural progression to manufacture the famous Phillips drive systems.”
