Participants and visitors of Fastener Fair Russia, of course, received a new issue of ‘Fasteners, Adhesives, Tools and ...’.

The central issue of the meeting was the problem of the quality of fasteners offered on the Russian market. At the February meeting participants agreed on the joint-preparation of a series of publications for a wide audience of fastener consumers. These publications will be designed to help consumers understand there is more than a price difference between similar-looking products. The first meetings of the Fastener Club were hosted by CKI. The next meeting will take place in a new office of the Construction and Development Company.


MMK-Metiz specialist receives ‘Engineer of the Year’ accolade


Yevgeniy Pudov, head of the bureau of fasteners, strand and calibrated steel of the central plant laboratory of MMK-Metiz (in Magnitogorsk, Chelyabinsk Region) was accorded the distinction of ‘Professional Engineer’ in the eighth All-Russian ‘Engineer of the Year’ Competition, supported by federal and regional governments.


ntrants completed two stages, during which an independent expert commission assessed them. The results of the second stage show 178 entrants achieved the ‘Professional Engineers’ award. Yevgeniy Pudov is author of 105 publications, including 44 certificates of authorship of the USSR and Patents of the Russian Federation for inventions and effective models implemented in production.
