Preparation 1. Make class copies of the BEPE checklist for an unsuccessful presentation.
• Tis YouTube clip is a student video of how to make a speech. It is simple and effective. Play it to the students and discuss the elements of body language; eye contact; voice projection and enthusiasm.
• You yourself could also present the Hubbly Bubbly report very badly, without expression, to the class. Tey tell you what is wrong with your presentation. Tey could use the checklist you have photocopied to guide them.
• You then take their advice and present it very well (or maybe one of the class will volunteer). Discuss why this was better.
