Used given information creatively/interesting, creative content. Good use of a few of his/her own words for flow/interest. Use of link words for better flow/cohesion. Adhered to word count. (allow 5 marks either way, then subtract 1 mark)


14 – 15 Used most of given information correctly/interesting, detailed content. Logical coherence of text that flows well (points well ordered). Used a few of his/her own words to improve sentences. Adhered to word count. (allow 5 marks either way, then subtract 1 mark)


10 – 12 Adequate use of given info but not made use of all given facts. Or relevant points and content but thin in detail. Text coherent but some points could be in a better sequence. Word count almost correct. (allow 5 marks either way, then subtract 1 mark)


8 – 9 Used some of the given information (less than 40%) but rather thin. Points not organised in good logical sequence. No flow to text – lacks linking words. Too short/Too long.


6 – 7 Insufficient use of given information or enough facts and details. Possibly includes irrelevant information. Facts and information muddled – lacks logical order.


0 – 5 Failure to use given information/or off topic. A few points made but totally inadequate. Incoherent – text may have points but text fails to make sense. Very short.
