Who are DASA? DASA (The Domestic Appliance Service Association) is a UK National Trade Association of Independent Domestic Appliance Service Rrganisations that repair domestic gas, electrical and electronic consumer appliances. It was formed in 1978 and now consists of some 100 members. DASA has raised the profile of the independent servicing trade and facilitates work from manufacturers, insurance companies, servicing networks and consumers for its members. DASA is not allied to any particular Manufacturer or to any other domestic appliance organisations and is a member of the British Quality Foundation. DASA membership is open to Companies, Partnerships and Individuals. DASA promotes good service, efficiency and courtesy and its Code of Practice is registered with the Office of Fair Trading. DASA has Criteria for Service Quality, Guarantees, the Environment, Insurances, Competence, Safety Testing and an Arbitration Scheme that is designed to protect the customer and members. DASA encourages communication between independent service organisations, consults on National issues and the Association is a bona fide National Trade Association.
