Singles can Mingle with the Date Doctor
t’s time to get out to a MAC event to meet others. Alma Avery Rubenstein of
pdxspeeddating.com and ABC’s The Bachelor teaches members how to be proactive with their dating lives, whether they are new or making another entry into the dating scene, want to learn how to be more effective with the opposite sex or are terminally shy.

How to have a Better Dating Life at any Age is three separate, facil- itated evenings for different age groups, featuring a step-by- step guide on how to be a better date. It covers everything from introductions and breaking the ice to small talk, body language, eye contact, closing the
deal, reading signs, establishing who pays, when to kiss, giving or getting a phone number, and even ways of dealing with rejection.
Singles ages 65-plus meet on Thursday,
Nov. 17, 50s and 60s meet on Friday, Nov. 18, and 40s and 50s meet Saturday, Nov. 19. The evenings are from 6-9 p.m. and are a wonderful opportunity to meet members, mingle and pick up some great dating tips. Plan to eat in advance, but drinks are avail- able for purchase.
The cost for this event is $30 for members and $36 for guests. Most people attend minglers by themselves. However, member guests are welcome, so invite a coworker or friend.
