Strawberry Barn, is a new high spec barn conversion nestling in the beautiful South Hams, this is a great spot for couples to spend a romantic week away or for a small family to enjoy a holiday in the countryside. Situated a mile from Slapton village which has two super pubs, both well known for good food plus a village shop. A little further on is the vast expanse of Slapton Sands, Slapton Ley Nature Reserve and the beachside village of Torcross which also offers a good pub well renowned for fresh fish, a couple of cafes, village shop and butchers. The towns of Dartmouth, Kingsbridge and Totnes are easily accessible by car. The barn has been converted with the living area on the first floor to take advantage of the lovely rural views with glimpses of the sea beyond.


Lower Merrifield


Price band F · Sleeps 4 · Children welcome Lower Merrifield is set in glorious countryside with sea glimpses out towards Start Bay. The village of Slapton is only a five minute drive the village has two pubs, both well known for good food and a village shop. A little further on from the village is the vast expanse of Slapton Sands, Slapton Ley Nature Reserve and the beachside village of Torcross, with an excellent pub well known for fresh fish, cafes, village shop and butchers. Lower Merrifield is a beautifully constructed timber lodge, very comfortably furnished and equipped for four guests. The accommodation is on one level with very easy access to the parking area.


Accommodation: Hallway leading to the living room. In this light and spacious room there are two sofas and


an armchair, TV and DVD, with patio doors opening out into the garden and deck. The dining area has a pine dining table and chairs with views across the surrounding rolling fields and down to the sea. Modern fitted cream kitchen with fridge/freezer, dishwasher, combi oven/microwave/ grill, gas hob. The bedrooms comprise of a double bedroom and a twin bedroom. Shower room with large shower cubicle, WC and basin. Utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer. Outside there is a large lawned garden with decked area, table and chairs and gas barbeque, lovely countryside views and sea glimpses. Parking for two cars and a toddlers climbing frame.

Accommodation: A shallow flight of eight steps lead up from the parking area to a small deck and the


front door which opens into the impressive living area with double height ceiling, exposed roof trusses and plenty of windows making this a lovely light room. The white fitted kitchen is to one end with electric oven and induction hob, integrated fridge with ice box, and microwave, breakfast bar. Dining table and chairs. At the other end is the sitting area with comfy sofas, TV and DVD, ipod dock and speaker system. Stairs lead down to the ground floor which has two bedrooms. One is a double bedroom and the second a bunk bedroom. Shower room with large shower enclosure and superb shower, slate tiling, WC and basin. Washing machine. Strawberry Barn is approached along a private drive, offers a private parking area and an enclosed lawned garden, with garden furniture, child’s swing and barbeque.
