Prospect Cottage
Price band G · Sleeps 4 Part of the 300 year old Grade II listed Shippon Barn in Dittisham Court, Prospect Cottage is a delightful mews style conversion with unrivalled views across the village and of the 13th century St. George’s church; there are
glimpses of the river Dart towards Stoke Gabriel. Visitors have use of the extensive
communal grounds, with wonderful views of the river. The village shop, church, Ferryboat Inn and Red Lion pubs, and the river are all within a short walking distance. The cottage is a second home as well as a holiday cottage, and is furnished and equipped to a very high standard to provide comfortable and relaxing accommodation all year round.
Accommodation: Steps lead up to the front door, opening into a hall with cloakroom – WC and washbasin – and leading to the living room. This room is light and airy with a high ceiling, and French windows opening onto
a small balcony with extensive views over the village to the fields beyond. The living room is comfortably furnished with a four-seater corner sofa and armchair, dining table and chairs, dresser, well stocked bookcase and occasional tables, digital TV, DVD and radio/CD player. The kitchen has recently had a complete makeover and boasts cream units with built in electric hob, oven and microwave, dishwasher and fridge/freezer, as well as a washing machine and a tumble dryer. Stairs from the hall lead down to the bedrooms, one double and one twin, with divans. The large half tiled bathroom has been refurbished and includes bath, separate shower, WC, washbasin and heated towel rail.
Spindlewood
Price band M · Sleeps 6 · Children welcome Spindlewood stands at the top of the village and was built to take advantage of the stunning view looking across Dittisham Mill Creek and up the river valley towards Dartmoor. There is a grassy garden and sun trap paved area to the rear and plenty of private parking.
Accommodation: A flight of steps lead up from the driveway to the front door. which leads to the hallway. The long dining and sitting room with open fire, TV, DVD and
CD/radio/cassette, stretches all along the front of the house with French windows leading onto a terrace and looking out at that lovely view. Door from dining area into newly fitted kitchen with cream shaker style units, beech work surfaces, electric oven, ceramic hob with stainless steel chimney hood, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, washing machine, microwave and views of the river. Lobby and door to back garden where there is a paved area and steps up to a lawn. There are three bedrooms – two doubles and a twin all with a handbasin and a view of the back garden.
