Price band LL · Sleeps 5 Shute Cottage is a charming detached cottage tucked away in the centre of Cornworthy. The cottage is only 150 yards from the Hunters Lodge Inn. Cornworthy is in ideal location between Totnes and Dartmouth, with picturesque riverside walks leading to the villages of Tuckenhay and Ashprington and more fine country pubs. The cottage retains a lot of original features with a very large and interesting lounge with exposed beams and lintels.

The 17th Century barn once home to the owner’s pedigree dairy goats, has now been carefully restored, keeping original features such as the ancient oak beams. Full of charm and character, Pridhams is light, spacious and very well equipped for four guests. A delightful terraced garden where olives, figs and palms flourish is for your own private use. Hardwood garden furniture, a purpose built barbeque area and a chiminea complete this stunning outdoor space. Cornworthy lies in the picturesque Dart Valley between Totnes and Dartmouth. There are lovely walks locally along a beautiful stretch of the river Dart. The 18th century Hunters Lodge Inn, well known locally for its good food, is only a minute or two’s stroll from Pridhams. On arrival you will be greeted with a generous welcome pack including home made scones and cream, and the fridge stocked for your first mornings breakfast.

kingsize brass bed and the other with twin 3’ pine beds. Bathroom with bath, mains shower over, WC and basin. Utility room with washing machine and freezer. Upstairs to the open plan living area which features vaulted ceilings with exposed roof trusses and oak beams. The fully equipped kitchen has ash units and beech work tops, butler sink, electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge and dishwasher. Dining area with oak dining table and chairs. The lounge is spacious and comfortably furnished, with easy chairs, welsh dresser, satellite TV, video and DVD player; music centre with radio, CD and cassette player, plus a wide selection of audio CDs, videos, DVDs, books, toys and games. French doors lead out onto the terrace – a real sun trap during the day. After dark, discreet solar lighting enhances the evening ambience in this special place.

Outside, steps to lead up to the mature terraced garden which has views over the village and surrounding countryside and sheltered corners to relax in. In the courtyard is a naturally fed shallow pond and parking for two cars.
