INVESTMENT LEVEL: FROM £39,900

F

or the second year in a row, Expense Reduction Analysts (ERA) has been named Bronze Franchisor of the Year 2017 by the British Franchise

Association (bfa). Hundreds of entries from businesses spanning all industries and sectors were whittled down to a shortlist of fi ve truly outstanding franchisors.

Standing toe to toe with leading global and domestic brands, ERA fought off fi erce competition to receive the award in front of more than 350 guests at the 2017 bfa HSBC Franchise Awards, a glittering black-tie event held at the International Conference Centre in the heart of Birmingham. Robert Allison, ERA UK’s managing

director, says: “We’re delighted and incredibly proud to have won this award for a second time. But the real stars of ERA are our people, from the dedicated, hardworking team at head offi ce to our incredible franchise partners. Each and every one of them has my sincere thanks for the part they play in making this business the success that it is.” Supported by HSBC, the bfa Franchisor

of the Year award is the highest accolade any franchisor can achieve. Judges demand substantial evidence of a high- quality model, excellent systems and strong ethics, as well as proof of consistent franchisee success. The winners are the franchisors that have distinguished themselves through their accomplishments and sustained franchising excellence. ERA is a world leader in cost management and procurement consultancy. Franchise partners are trained to off er strategic advice and practical methods that optimise supplier relationships and generate cash. Boasting the highest consulting revenue of any UK procurement franchise, the ERA network has enjoyed impressive sales increases over the past fi ve years, growing by 10 per cent in the last year and projecting a 13.2 per cent growth in the next fi nancial year. Unlike most franchisors, ERA is committed to growing its own business not by recruiting large numbers of franchise partners each year but instead by growing and developing the business of each and every franchise partner. The key belief is that the franchisee success equals the franchisor success.

Pip Wilkins, chief executive of the bfa,

says: “To win this award two years in a row is quite exceptional and demonstrates ERA’s unwavering commitment to its entire franchise network. The whole team should be extremely proud of the culture of collaboration they’ve built. I’ve no doubt ERA will continue to inspire us all with its innovation and ethics – we’re very proud to call the franchise a member of the association.”

Only a select few can boast the title of

Bronze Franchisor of the Year, fewer still for two years in a row. The award recognises the team’s success and, to anyone thinking of investing in the business, confi rms that ERA is one of the UK’s premier franchisors with a business model and culture worthy of celebration.
