London ranked third-best city worldwide for women entrepreneurs


n London has been ranked as the third-best city in the world for female entrepreneurs, according to Dell’s 2017 Women Entrepreneur Cities Index. The report evaluated 50 cities on their capacity to attract and foster the growth of women-owned businesses based on fi ve factors: access to capital, culture, markets, talent and technology. In addition, the impact of local policies and characteristics, as well as national laws and customs, were considered. London was determined to be


the third-best city for its markets and capital availability, while it ranked second for technology.


Its overall ranking in third place makes London one of only two European cities in the top 10, with Stockholm, Sweden, placing fi fth. New York took the top spot, followed by the San Francisco Bay Area. The UK’s second-highest entry on the list is Belfast, which came in at number 36.
