What drew you to franchising? Franchising suited me because it off ered the support of a larger business without having to invest in the infrastructure of an independent.


Why did you choose HomeXperts in particular? HomeXperts off ered really good value. I had been at high-street estate agencies before HomeXperts and I make great savings with the franchise. Everyone is very friendly at the central support offi ce and I’ve found that the franchise network is like a big family.

Jack’s last role was at an estate agency. He also worked in marketing in his early career, as well as some time spent as a singer! He began trading with HomeXperts in 2017


In what ways is your business fl exible? For me the fl exibility comes through being able to work when I want and where I want. I have a daughter and I own another business, so HomeXperts enables me to focus my attentions elsewhere as well as on my franchise.


Do you have plans to grow the business in the future? Well, I do have plans to join forces with a mortgage adviser to progress the business.


I’ve built it up as much as I feel I can on my own and I’m ready to take the next step. He is coming on board to focus on the admin side of the business, because I’m better at sales. I’m also going to expand into an offi ce with a window front to give me a physical presence.


Has your work-life balance improved? With other interests as well as HomeXperts, I can’t say my work-life balance has improved. But, compared with jobs I’ve had in the past, franchising off ers a more fl exible lifestyle. As a business owner you control your schedule and how you spend your time. My opinion, however, has always been you get out what you put in, so if you really want to build your business, especially in the early stages, you need to work hard.


What advice would you give potential HomeXperts franchisees? Work hard, stay positive throughout, and don’t worry or stress. Take the franchise model on board, it’s tried and tested; you won’t be given everything but you have a great support system to fall back on with franchising.
