ON TRACK FOR IMMERSIVE AUDIO Audio-Technica BY KEVIN EMMOTT


IBC visitors are at the centre of the action on the Audio-Technica stand with a full interactive audio/visual programme on offer in Hall 8. The company is inviting visitors to experience a collection of real-world audio captured by its range of broadcast and production microphones. The programme features audio from live concerts, the MotoGP race series and work from sound artists Soundwalk


Collective and Chiara Luzzana. Visitors are encouraged to engage with audio recorded using Audio-Technica microphones, including the BP3600 immersive audio microphone. Audio content is available in stereo, 5.1 and binaural mixes, with all mixes selectable via Stream Deck controllers. On the fi rst day of IBC, LTN announced that it is opening a new technical operations centre (TOC) in Cologne to complement its existing facility in North America. The centre will serve as an operational hub for the DACH region and wider European markets, expanding LTN’s regional service capabilities for tier 1 media, sports, entertainment and technology companies.
