INTO THE MATRIX WITH DYNAMICWORKPLACE-CON

As broadcast control rooms integrate a growing range of cutting-edge technologies, Germany’s Guntermann & Drunck is responding by providing KVM systems that serve as an interface between humans and machines. Here at IBC, it is hoping its new DynamicWorkplace-CON will help busy broadcasters develop even more creative workfl ows. DynamicWorkplace-CON is a workplace module designed for integration into KVM matrix installations. Its integration into existing matrix applications offers the advantage of being able to fl exibly arrange different
computer modules and their sources on a larger workspace. The module facilitates workfl ows through operation on a larger surface making the DynamicWorkplace-CON ideal for complex activities and processes in broadcast environments.
Its multi-viewing function allows up to eight sources to be operated on four monitors simultaneously, while its window manager enables easy positioning and handling of windows as well as fl exible arrangement and movement across monitors. This allows ergonomic display of critical data at a central point, improving effi ciency, safety and response time in control rooms. 8.B51

Europe Product Specialist, said: “The IPX-100 is a compact and attractively priced bridge between conventional broadcast and the wider world of ST 2110 infrastructure. Compatible with all cameras in the Ikegami XE and HD series, it offers core features of our established and industry-proven BSX-100 base station plus optional ST 2110 media-over-IP support. “The new model is one-third smaller in size at just 2U high by half 19in rack width. ST 2110-22 (JPEG XS) encoding is available as a software option and is an important feature allowing the data rate to adapt to the available IP bandwidth.”

The IPX-100 includes a signal generator to allow system confi guration before cameras or other sources are connected. ST 2110 connectivity can be set up prior to the event, at which point cameras can be connected using conventional SMPTE-hybrid fi bre cable up to 3.5km long. The IPX- 100 powers the camera so there is no operational difference to using conventional fi bre-cabled cameras. It is also available with 3G/ HD-SDI input/output to serve as an external SDI-to-IP or IP-to-SDI converter. 12.A31
RAISING THE FLOOR FOR REAL-TIME PRODUCTION ASSETS Zero Density BY KEVIN EMMOTT
Lino from Zero Density enables production assets to be used in pre-production motion graphics, real-time motion graphics and virtual production graphics. This approach aims to not only enhance rendering and compositing quality, but also reduce production costs. Powered by Unreal Motion Design, the company claims that Lino increases rendering and compositing quality while simplifying asset creation and integration and reducing operator complexity. All Lino features can be operated via Zero Density’s Reality Hub interface
and virtual production graphics can all be operated via the company’s Reality Hub interface. This integrated control means that all content created with Lino can be effortlessly operated from one control interface,
with or without newsroom computer systems or automation integration. Lino’s unifi ed production environment reduces the need for multiple software solutions, cutting asset creation costs and
simplifying operations, while its ‘create once, use anywhere’ approach allows assets to be used across both virtual production and real-time motion graphics projects. 7.B01
