MAPPING THE CLOUD 24i

Video streaming platform specialist 24i is unveiling the new roadmap for its 24i Video Cloud platform. Its aim is to meet the needs of service providers that are looking for more effi cient ways to continuously upgrade, aggregate and launch fresh content. In particular, 24i is demonstrating: 24i Video Cloud for pay-TV, designed for operators that are running multiple video service platforms and want to converge them towards OTT technologies; Backstage + 24iQ, integrating its CMS platform with personalised content discovery; and Appstage, white-label applications offering full EPG, catch-up, trickplay and subtitling. On show at IBC for the fi rst time is an NDI plug-in for Vizrt NRS systems from Studio Network Solutions (SNS). The company says this gives live production environments the fl exibility to record multiple NDI streams simultaneously, edit footage while recording is in progress, and playout select media directly from shared storage.

The update introduces NDI 6 compatibility giving NRS users access to the latest NDI standards for seamless integration. Other features include active recording previews, enabling users to keep track of active recordings with a visual reference; the ability to playout H.264 and SpeedHQ media formats directly from NRS; improved fi lters to fi nd a specifi c NDI source faster; and TriCaster integration, which allows users to send media from NRS to TriCaster DDR1-4 and GFX1-2. 7.B27
