BARGE PLANNER M/F


We offer We offer a key role in the dynamic and international world of Fuel- and Gasoil, where you often will be exposed to an hectic environment, working with international counterparts and oil companies.


Key Responsibilities As a barge planner, you will be responsible for: • Operational planning of all bunker deliveries in Rotterdam and Antwerp ports • Dealing with freight counterparties, terminals and barges/vessels on a regular basis regarding all post-deal activities ensuring all necessary operational information in passed on in good time and documentary requirements are met


• Monitoring ang managing stockpiles of all barges • Assisting our traders for the tank blending operations • Make barge/cargo nominations and monitor progress of barges/vessels • Appoint independent inspectors • Maintain good contract and shipping files • Ensure that any necessary financial security is in place • Liase with charterers to ensure smootha operations, avoid supply disruption and minimize demurrage costs.


Who are we looking for We have preference for a person who has e few years of experience from the oil/ shipping industry, either in a similar role or with experience from the production, surveyor or shipping side. In addition the person should: • Have a commercial, customer-focused and analytical mindset • Have a good understanding of common ship operations and terminology • Have a good understanding of relevant petroleum product specifications, analytical methods, laboratory precisions and inspection procedures


• Have a pro-active approach to problem solving • Be a strong team player • Be able to work under conditions which might be high stress/intensity from time to time


• Preferably have a logistics or nautical background and/or relevant practical experience

MAJOR STEP TOWARDS THE IMO 2020 Orim Energy delivers first VLSFO bunker to major container shipping liner in ARA


ROTTERDAM Orim Energy, a leading, indepen- dent Dutch oil trading company that specia- lises in the blending and bunkering of ultra- low sulphur fuel oils (ULSFO), has delivered the first very low sulphur fuel oil (VLSFO) bunker to a major container shipping liner in the Port of Rotterdam last week. This is gre- at news for ship owners and shipping liners, as 2020 will see new International Marine Organization (IMO) emission standards for the global shipping industry, lowering the sulphur cap for marine fuels from 3.5% to 0.5%. Having VLSFO (<0.5%) products avai- lable for testing – and consumption – will help prepare and ensure timely IMO 2020 compliance.


It is the most significant change faced by the global shipping industry in decades: new IMO rules cut the allowed sulphur content in ma- rine fuels to 0.5 percent from 3.5 percent by 2020. To meet IMO 2020 emission rules – and stay ahead in the highly competitive shipping market – ship owners and shipping liners are looking for solutions that balance environ- mental demands and cost efficiency. Building on its expertise in ULSFO (<0.1%), Orim Energy has developed premium VLSFO with max. 0.5% that offers just that, and it has now deli- vered its first VLSFO bunker to a major contai- ner shipping liner.


VLSFO is a logical next step for Orim Energy, specialist in (ultra) low sulphur marine fu- els since 2015. Recognizing the impact and


potential of the 0.1% sulphur limit for marine fuels in the Emission Controlled Areas (ECA) introduced that year, the company quickly developed into a leading ARA supplier in this new market. Bunkerstation Papendrecht is al meer dan vijftig jaar een vertrouwd adres voor de binnenscheepvaart. Met een klein team van enthousiaste medewerkers voorzien wij de schippers van brandstof, smeermiddelen en andere artikelen en materialen. Onze thuisbasis is Papendrecht. Daar ligt ons 60 meter lange bunkerstation/winkelschip met ons kantoor. Wij hebben twee bunkerboten in de vaart, de Arno en de Duo. Hiermee doorkruisen we zeven dagen in de week de rivieren in de drechtstedenregio om onze klanten op te zoeken. Klantgericht denken, een servicegerichte opstelling en zelfstandigheid zijn sleutelbegrippen voor al onze mensen.

Als schipper/verkoper op de Arno of de Duo (140 ton) vaar je je eigen koers. Je zoekt je klanten op en je levert ze wat ze nodig hebben.


Je kunt plezierig met mensen omgaan en je hebt een beetje gevoel voor handel. Je bent verantwoordelijk voor de veiligheid en het onderhoud van je schip en hoewel je deel uitmaakt van een team en veel overlegt met de thuisbasis, vertrouwen we er op dat je weet wat je doet. Je krijgt daarom een grote mate van vrijheid en zelfstandigheid. We zijn een klein team en je hebt daarom ook bij toerbeurt avond- en weekenddienst.


Wij vragen


Woon je in de buurt van Papendrecht en ben je in het bezit van een Vaarbewijs, Marifooncertificaat, ADN en Radarpatent? Dan ben jij degene die wij zoeken.


Wij investeren graag in de kwaliteit van onze mensen en vergoeden de cursuskosten, zodat het jou alleen maar wat tijd kost. Een paar jaar ervaring als schipper en een beetje talenkennis zijn meegenomen, maar ook als je net van de opleiding af komt, ben je welkom. Als je maar enthousiast bent, wilt leren en een klantgerichte instelling hebt.
