Procedure: Heat phase A up to 80-85°C an1. Prepare phase A and heat it up to 80-85°C. Prepare phase C and heat it up to 75-80°C. Add phase B directly into phase A under magnetic stirring, maintaining the temperature at 80 - 85°C. Stir for few minutes (until the flakes are melted) and then homogenize for 1 minute at 3000 rpm using a suitable dispersion unit (Silverson). Add phase C homogenizing with a suitable dispersion unit (Silverson) at 3000 rpm for 3 minutes. Cool down to room temperature under gentle anchor stirring (50 – 100 rpm). Add phase D and homogenize with a suitable dispersion unti (Silverson) at 3000 rpm.d pour the product in proper packaging. Properties: Stability: Three months at 45 °C, three months at room temperature, three freeze/thaw cycles.

Procedure: In the main vessel, add A2 into water; add A3-4 while stirring and adjust pH to ~5.5, then stir for ~20 min to ensure the complete hydration of the polymers. For a faster hydration, heat up to 45-50°C. Add phase B while stirring. In a separate vessel, add the ingredients of phase C. Heat both vessels to ~65°C, then add phase C to phase A+B, and homogenize until smooth. After cooling to 30°C, add phase D under homogenisation. Add the remaining ingredients under stirring and adjust pH around 4.0. Properties: Appearance: glossy emulsion; pH : ~4.0; Viscosity (Brookfield RVT + Helipath, 10 rpm, 25°C, 30’’) : ~20000 mPa*s
