AGEM MAY 2025 RECAP

1 USA and global trade policy will be an ongoing item for 2025, specifically focusing on the impact of tariffs and trade conflicts that will affect goods and services across nearly all supply chains. While these changes continue to occur on a monthly, weekly and sometimes daily basis, AGEM will continue discussions about supplier concerns surrounding the challenges confronting suppliers. Te general view is that it appears the USA will establish a new baseline tariff of 10 per cent across all countries and regions as an outcome of the ongoing discussions and conflicts between the USA and other countries/regions. AGEM’s Daron Dorsey also recently went to Washington, D.C., along with the leadership of the AGA and certain key larger supplier companies, to present to members of Congress and the entire Nevada delegation to raise better awareness of our gaming supplier sector and its concerns with the ongoing trade conflicts.

2 Following the recent announcement, Nevada Governor Joe Lombardo has appointed industry veteran Mike Dreitzer as the incoming Chair of the Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB), who will assume the role following the departure of current Chair Kirk Hendrick in June 2025. Chair Dreitzer’s appointment is welcomed by AGEM and its members, as he brings extensive experience in gaming and a deep understanding of the supplier sector. AGEM looks forward to continuing the progress made with Chair Hendrick on gaming technology issues and working alongside Chair Dreitzer on industry issues in the years ahead.
