Die Lizenz von Lucien Barrière für den Betrieb des Casino Barrière Dinard wurde unter der Voraussetzung, dass es 3,78 Mio. € in seine Ren- ovierung investiert, um 15 Jahre verlängert.

Te Belgian privately owned group Cartamundi has now completed the purchase of Te United States Playing Card Company (USPC).
Tis acquisition marks the addition of the iconic Bicycle, Bee, Hoyle, and Fournier brands to the Cartamundi brands portfolio and is in line with Cartamundi’s strategy to strengthen its role as a key player in the global entertainment industry.

Te United States Playing Card Company employs over 350 people and has manufacturing facilities in the U.S. city of Erlanger in Kentucky and the Spanish city of Vitoria in Àlava. In 2018 USPC realised net sales of approximately US$112m.

Lucien Barrière has had its license renewed for 15 years for the operation of Casino Barrière Dinard on the premise that it invests €3.78m on its renovation.
During the municipal council of the city of Dinard (Ille-et-Vilaine), on December 16, elected officials unanimously voted to renew the contract with the current delegate for a period of 15 years from May 1, 2020. A subsidiary of the Barrière group, the new company of the Emerald Palace retains the management of the casino. Te restaurant will move from the
first floor to the ground floor and the current location of the restaurant, soon vacant, will allow the gaming floor to be enlarged. Previous work had been carried out before the G7 which brought together the foreign ministers April 5 and 6, 2019.
Te rent paid by the casino to the city amounts to €350,000 per year, to which must be added a tax of 15 per cent which should bring the city about €1.8m per year. Te casino will pay an artistic and cultural contribution of €50,000 per year.
Spielbanken Niedersachsen wants to relocate its licence for the Bad Harzburg casino to the Bohlweg, a central street in the city center of Braunschweig, with an opening scheduled for June 2021. Whilst nothing is set in stone with regards to the future location, Anja Sohr, general manager of the casino, confirmed it is the end of the road for the Bad Harzburg casino: “Our rental agreement in Bad Harzburg expires on June 30, 2021,” she said. “It definitely cannot be extended.” Te favoured location for the move is the former porcelain shop Reinicke & Richau. City counsellors will decide on the relocation by March. It offers floor space of around 1,000sq.m. Bad Harzburg is a historic spa town on the edge of the Harz National Park. Its casino is located in the spa gardens, offers 103 slots, a 12- terminal Multi-Roulette station and two American Roulettes.
