GPI investing heavily to ensure ATS is market-ready

Gaming Partners International (GPI) has increased its investment in its Automated Table Solution (ATS) which aims ‘to provide a table management solution that would combine visioning technology and immersive data analytics with our RFID technology’ to get the futuristic system marker ready

First announced in January 2018, the technologically advanced ATS offers an automated table solution built to collect and analyse data, combining GPI's exclusive and innovative SMART RFID technology with an advanced visual identification system, artificial intelligence, big data, and data analytics.

Once fully developed, ATS will offer one of the most comprehensive and robust table solutions available in the gaming industry. ATS is a scalable, customisable, modular table game solution built to each individual operator's specific operational needs. Its software allows the integration of multiple technologies and offers the flexibility to meet the evolving technology arena of data analytics.

The system is split into three modules. The Table Security module provides one of the strongest full table anti-counterfeit solutions available. The Game Protection and Optimisation module protects the integrity of table games by automatically capturing transactions and game play. The Marketing Automation module provides a wealth of

investment and we will continue to optimise ATS as part of our phased product rollout, including the continued expansion of the features and benefits it offers.”

GPI’s initial commitment to BrainChip and Xuvi totalled US$1.3m. The company has since stated: “Due to very positive customer response, we committed an additional US$0.8m in the second half of 2018 to develop product enhancements and speed up product development.”

The company was also showing its range of chips, plaques and playing cards including its Bourgogne et Grasset (BG) V-Series injection molded chips and J3 Jetons.GPI was also showing its BG Premium and V-Series molded chips and Paulson traditional compression molded chips are Intricate Edge Inserts.

This new advanced feature allows for the inclusion of more complex edge insert designs that cannot be achieved through traditional injection-molding methods. As a result, customers can incorporate edge inserts with multiple colours, designs and security taggants.

Kambi firing on all

cylinders in the States Already leading the field in New Jersey with markets such as ‘result of current drive’ in NFL and ‘nearest to the pin’ in golf, Kambi was at G2E upping the ante with in-game NBA markets to keep bettors engaged, even in the event of a one-sided game

Kambi will also be offering its unique instant betting market ‘next field goal’ where bettors can wager whether the next field goal will be a two-pointer or a three-pointer, creating a fast-paced wagering experience from tip-off to final buzzer.

In addition, Kambi will provide bettors with a vast array of pre-game alternative lines, as well as a selection of relevant in-game lines, enabling bettors to choose the line that they want to wager on, rather than just the money line or spread. Te complexity in offering these markets cannot be understated and sees Kambi blend official data sources with sophisticated algorithms and skilled basketball traders.

“Te NBA has become extremely popular over the last few years, with the game becoming faster, smarter and teams relying on analytics more than ever before,” Stefanos Moysidis, Kambi Head of Live

Basketball, said. “Superstars are dominating games with a barrage of three-pointers and bettors are increasingly wanting to wager on high-profile players and choose their own lines. At Kambi we have embraced these changes and developed our offering to cater for this new and more informed audience.”

In August, Kambi made its US debut and in doing so created history when becoming the first company to process a legal online bet in the country outside of Nevada, following the launch of New Jersey's regulated market.

Kambi Group Chief Executive Kristian Nylén said: “We are already live with three brands in New Jersey - DraftKings, SugarHouse (Rush Street Interactive) and 888sport - which is not only a great achievement in itself but, according to the regulator's recently released September figures, equates to Kambi-powered operators having a c.70 per cent share of the online market.

“It's been a fantastic start in the US for Kambi, which I believe reflects an enthusiasm for the high-quality Sportsbook experiences we offer, which we hope to bring to players in additional states shortly. I've recently returned from a major gaming exhibition in the US where, following our early success in New Jersey, the interest in Kambi was at an unprecedented level. It is for this reason we plan to continue to invest in areas such as talent, technology and licensing so we can maximise the opportunity

presented by the gradual state-by-state roll-out of regulated sports betting across the country.”

While the US is very much the main strategic focus, Kambi is continuing to grow strongly across multiple markets.

“Customers old and new are benefiting from the Kambi Sportsbook, enabling them to attain or vie for market leadership,” Mr. Nylén explained. “Meanwhile, in Q3 we strengthened the network further with three European-based customers - ATG, Global Gaming and Latvijas Loto - bringing us to seven new customer signings for the year.”

GPI first introduced Intricate Edge Inserts on its Paulson chips at the World Series of Poker held at the Rio Hotel in Las Vegas. As a part of the tournament’s final table, these special chips featured the letters “WSOP” in the edge spots.

Another security feature available on select BG Premium and V-Series chips is Hollow Shot; an indentation in the chip’s outer ring that serves a dual purpose in the chip’s overall design and counterfeit deterrence. Additionally, customers can add micro text, graphics and security taggants to the Hollow Shot for added currency security.
