At this year’s Las Vegas expo, Advantech-Innocore was launching two new products based on its cutting-edge AMD Ryzen Embedded V1000 processor, the DPX-E265 and the DPX-E140, which offer fully-integrated functionality and extremely high performance of CPU and graphics to meet the ever-increasing demands placed on casino slot machines for a multi-screen, high resolution, immersive player experience
Te new DPX-E140 is designed with the same format as the mid-range DPX-E135 and has the same “cabinet-ready” input/output. Its innovative design puts all the connectors conveniently in one area and uses typical slot industry connectors to provide an economical, robust harnessing arrangement. Te need for additional connector boards or backplanes is eliminated—saving cost and simplifying cabinet layout and harnessing.
Te DPX-E265 offers many gaming-optimized features in a lighter bundle, without the full security and IO of the DPX-E140.
Advantech’s booth at G2E also showcased its growing range of products for the gaming industry, including both flat and curved high- performance touchscreen monitors, flash storage products, EPOS and ticket terminals, digital signage players and tablet computers
A highlight of the booth was Advantech’s range of UHD curved monitors including the 49ins. J-shaped monitor with its deep curved profile, the latest industrial grade high brightness displays and PCAP multi-touch.
P68 NEWSWIRE / INTERACTIVE / MARKET DATA
Galaxy Gaming was showing a range of new table games and progressive side bets, some of which have come from a partnership with UNLV where it has paid for the rights to develop game ideas generated by students from UNLV’s Center for Gaming Innovation.
2018 has been a busy year for Galaxy Gaming with record revenues month on month. Last year it received its Nevada licence and since then has added Michigan and Ohio licences.
“We’re opening up plenty of new markets,” said Todd Cravens, Galaxy Gaming CEO. “To increase the volume of new content we’ve focused on three main areas; accelerate, innovate and collaborate. Alongside home-grown development we’ve bought a package of games designed by the student faculty at UNLV, so we can showcase the talents and entrepreneurial spirit of our Las Vegas community’s future leaders in the casino gaming industry. One of these concepts is Slide to Decide, which we are using on our Prime Card Poker games.”
Slide to Decide provides a table mounted display for each playing position and gives the power to the player with the option for them to choose which of the three different pay tables they want to play.
Advansys growing in the Caribbean gaming region
Advansys was showing its Nexio range, an advanced platform delivering data from slots and tables offering simple tasks to the most complex analytics and marketing campaigns. Nexio means faster, wider and deeper comprehension of all CMS data from everywhere
Utilising Advansys’ Nexio, operators can create their own personal dashboard with intuitive gadgets on their desktop and can access the same view on their mobile, helping key workers to stay connected to the casino and get all relevant analytical data when needed in real-time to reduce reaction delays.
Tina Stolfa, Regional Sales Manager said: “At this show most of our business is done with
Advansys’ Tina Stolfa and Damjan Music
operators in the Caribbean, a region in which we are very active. We’ve brought a new user platform to market along with a new philosophy in casino management systems. We’ve installed now in 35 countries in over 200 casinos. We can interface with any third party interface or cross platform. We’ve recently completed an install in Vietnam at the end of August and we entered the UK market for the first time in May with an install with Century Casinos in Bath. We have worked with Century for many years in Poland and on their cruise ships too.”
“Elsewhere in terms of innovation we’ve focussed a lot of our energy on progressives and so we’ve now got a three card link, a five card link and a seven card link,” Mr. Cravens added. “Tis allows us to link a new game such as Super 3 Card with an established game such as 21+3 to increase its odds of succeeding. In terms of collaboration, it’s very rare for a pay table that works in one facility to work universally. In the UK, where our products are really popular, we’ve collaborated with Les Ambassadeurs, a high-end Mayfair casino, to create a £25 jackpot on their Tree Card Poker. We worked with them on a paytable designed especially for their player base and it’s been really successful. In the three months since they placed the game, their overall table drop on those tables has gone up 300 per cent.”
Te company was showing a range of 21+3 variants with games such as High Card Flush, Emperor’s Challenge, Lucky Ladies, Players Edge with Monster Match and Tree Card Double Play Poker.
