MEXICO – Crown Gaming Mexico, the local subsidiary of NOVOMATIC, held its third VIP Experience in Mexico City on October 25 and invited operators from around the country to get hands-on with a selection of products. Attendees were treated to a spellbinding evening themed on the Voodoo Fortunes slot game.

ARGENTINA – The government of the province of Entre Ríos has banned online gambling as part of a process, which will eventually allow the government to pass a number of laws allowing for the regulation and oversight over the industry. The Institute of Financial Assistance for Social Action of Entre Ríos (IAFAS) via a new law (Resolution No. 1033) bans the development and exploitation of games of chance and activities via electronic means. It also prevents advertising, gambling and the commercialization of online gaming without the authorization of the IAFAS. Online games that violate the new rules will be now considered illegal according to Article 301 of the Criminal Code.

Te Provincial Institute of Lotteries and Casinos of Misiones (IPLyC), has reported that it has suspended the operation of local online gambling platform MisionBet. In a statement, the regulator said that it had decided to make the move in order to "guarantee transparency and security to gamblers." Te regulator explained: “For reasons beyond its control, non-attributable to the IPLyC and within the framework of its obligation to guarantee transparency and security to gamblers, we find ourselves in need of suspending the activity of the MisionBet gaming platform.” However, according to local press reports, the suspension is part of a larger plan for the government to run online gambling in the province. Intralot signs 10-year Mexico sports lottery agreement

Te New Mexico Lottery Board has voted unanimously to move forward with the creation of a game tied to the outcome of sporting events (Sports Lottery) as well as to grant a two-year extension on its existing online systems contact with INTRALOT.
