In June, Continent 8 Technologies opened a specialised data centre at the Ocean Resort Casino in Atlantic City. Tis expansion is Continent 8’s second location in Atlantic City responding to the demand generated by the passing of sports betting legislation in New Jersey, providing immediate availability to online gaming, sports betting, and eSports vendors. A third new, independent Continent 8 data centre location in Atlantic City will be added shortly to further capacity and provide additional secure data redundancy and disaster recovery.


In addition, the company is integrating their Atlantic City, New Jersey data centres with supporting locations in Mississippi, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. Continent 8 has been working in the US market for many years but opened its first data centre offering in 2014 in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Since that time, the company has worked with a large number of groups playing a crucial role in helping shape regulations when it comes to hosting of services in the US market. In 2015, the company was able to help amend regulations that now allow suppliers to host online infrastructure in buildings other than a bricks-and- mortar casino but within a licensed premises in Atlantic City.

Te National Hockey League (NHL) has formed a multi-year strategic relationship with MGM Resorts International meaning that MGM is now the first official sports betting partner for the NHL. Te announcement naming MGM Resorts the NHL’s first official sports betting partner was made by NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman and MGM Resorts Chairman & CEO Jim Murren in New York City.


As an official sports betting partner as well as an official resorts partner of the NHL, MGM Resorts will have the ability to market many of MGM Resorts’ products and services to the League’s fans via the League’s various media platforms and events. MGM Resorts will also use official NHL branding to “amplify” the relationship across a range of the company’s land-based and digital sports betting offerings within the US.


MGM Resorts will receive access to previously unseen enhanced NHL proprietary game data that will be generated by the League’s state-of-the-art tracking systems currently under development. Access to this data will allow MGM Resorts to provide its customers with specialized NHL game insights, as well as unlocking new and innovative interactive fan engagement and betting opportunities for its U.S. customers wherever legally available.


Caesars Entertainment has signed an agreement with Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment in a multi-year partnership with NBA team the Philadelphia 76ers, and the NHL New Jersey Devils and Prudential Center - the home of the New Jersey Devils and New Jersey’s premier destination for sports entertainment. Te partnership will introduce New Jersey sports fans to Caesars Entertainment’s new sportsbook experience, now available at two of its Atlantic City properties and Te Caesars Casino & Sports app through special promotions and activations inside the exclusive Caesars Club at Prudential Center.


Caesars has also signed a 15-year partnership to make it the first founding partner of the Las Vegas Stadium, the future home of the Las Vegas Raiders of the NFL.
