ITALY – On November 6, the decision of the Court of Turin upheld the appeal of an operator who had seen a fine imposed by the municipal administration for the amount of €32,000 for violating the provisions of the regulations premises in the field of public gaming and distances. According to the Piedmontese court: “By applying the distance metre provided for by the Piedmont Region, according to which gaming machines can not be placed less than 500 metres from sensitive areas, practically 99.32 per cent of the urban territory of Turin is out of bounds.
