OXFORD, CT —MIRTEC is showcasing its range of 3D AOI and SPI solutions at SMTAI Virtual. The company’s MV-6 OMNI is configured with its exclu- sive OMNI-VISION® 3D inspection technology, which combines a 15 MP CoaXPress camera with a special digital tri-frequency moiré system. The tech- nology is designed and manufactured by MIRTEC for use in its entire range of 3D inspection systems. The company’s 12-projection moiré technolo-
gy provides true-3D inspection to yield precise height measurement data used to detect lifted component and lifted lead defects, as well as solder volume post reflow. Fully configured, the MIRTEC MV-6 OMNI machines are equipped with four 10 MP side-view cameras, in addition to the 15 MP top-down camera. MIRTEC’s MV-3 OMNI desktop 3D AOI
machine comes configured with the same hard- ware and software as its inline OMNI-VISION 3D inspection sys- tems, providing 100-percent compati- bility across the company’s entire 3D AOI product line. The company’s automatic pro-
gramming software uses AI-based deep learning to minimize human error and standardize the program- ming process. This software solution automatically analyzes the PCB architecture and assigns the appro- priate part type and process parame- ters for each SMT device. Only basic operator training is required. Optical character recognition (OCR) reduces false calls and improves efficiency by automatically restoring and inspect- ing damaged characters. The company’s MS-11e 3D SPI
machine is configured with an exclu- sive 15 MP CoaXPress camera system to provide excellent image quality, accuracy and fast rates of inspection.

The machine uses dual-projection shadow-free moiré phase shift imaging to inspect solder paste deposi- tions on PCBs for insufficient solder, shape deformi-
ty, shift of deposition, and bridging, post screen print.
In addition, MIRTEC is now offering its Total
Remote Management System (TRMS), an inte- grated Industry 4.0 solution that combines remote management with real-time data monitoring and analysis for each system within the SMT line. TRMS is designed to provide monitoring of status information and statistical data, such as equip- ment operation status, production yield, PC resources, temperature, and humidity. The TRMS module is a key part of MIRTEC’s intelligent fac-
