Solutions for the Integrated Smart Factory from ASM
SUWANEE, GA — ASM is now offer- ing a broad portfolio of hardware and software solutions with a focus on the integrated smart factory. The company has rolled out its new DEK TQ high- volume printer, the ASM Process - Expert system for autonomous process optimization and its ASM Works soft- ware infrastructure for the smart SMT factory. The DEK TQ printer includes precise linear drives, off-belt printing, and an innovative clamping system and print head. The system achieves an accuracy rating of ±17.5 µm at 2
Cpk, while running for up to eight hours at a time without an operator. New options and software en-
hancements further improve the ca- pabilities of the DEK TQ. The high flow vacuum function provides a highly efficient board support for complex, high-volume production. ASM’s ProcessLens is designed to
offer best-in-class 3D and 2D inspec- tion and measurement of applied sol- der paste. The moiré patterns are cre- ated by a projector chip with eight mil- lion software-controlled micro-mirrors, enabling the inspection of paste de- posits up to 0.04 in. (1 mm) in height.
The x/y camera positioning system pro- vides an accuracy of 0.5 mil (12.5 µm). The core package of ASM Works
