Elizabeth Salm, Dies at 83 CHICO, CA — Elizabeth (BJ) Salm, former associate editor of U.S. Tech, and wife of Walter Salm, editor emeritus, died on July 31 in a nursing home in Chico, California. She had been suffering from inoperable colon cancer and was 83 years old. BJ was in declining health for nearly two years, before contracting pneumonia and a secondary infection, when the cancer was discovered. A native of New Brunswick, New Jersey, she and


Walter went on the road as full-time RVers, while still working on U.S. Tech. They traveled coast to coast in a diesel coach for eight years, before settling in Chico. Elizabeth is survived by Walter, as well as their two daughters, Lenna


Haug and Jodi Mullen, and her stepson G. David Salm, four grandchil- dren, and one great-grandson.
