by JOANNE DELANEY So, my fifth session
with the amazing Molly was last week, and was nowhere near the pain I usu- ally feel. I still can’t believe
the impact Molly’s treatment is having on my face, my skin is clear and smooth, with very little main- tenance required, it’s nothing short of incredible! Needless to say,
I’m feeling wonder- ful about myself, and gaining more and more confidence by the day. I’ve spoken on
many a forum about laser and Hirsuti- sum, and have been raving about Molly’s elipse machine, and the impact its had on my life, and your feedback and emails are very much ap- preciated. This week, I’m an-
swering a question Melanie has asked via email: Dear Joanne, Thank you for
being so open and honest about your condition, I have noticed in recent months the hair under my chin has gotten more prom- inent what started as a few hairs seems to have turned into a mini beard, and I was wondering if it would make a dif- ference if I wax or shave it, sometimes I can’t wait for it to be long enough to wax so I have no choice but to shave, but people tell me it

grows back darker that way.. I’m con- fused as to what to do. Thanks for any ad-
vice in advance Mel.
Dear Mel, Firstly, thanks so
much for reading my columns, your support is very much appreciated. Hair growth isn’t a very nice thing to expe- rience as a woman, specifically in ar- eas that are more prone to male areas such as facial areas Chin and sideburns. Everyone has hair all over, some more noticeable than oth- ers, the darker more course hair could be caused by a hor- monal imbalance, in this case I would most defiantly sug- gest visiting you’re GP for advice on what is most suitable to you. If the condition is
caused by PCOS, or Hirsutisum it won’t really matter if you wax or shave as the hair will continue to grow the same until you can find either a permanent solution like laser, or balance the hormones with something your doc- tor prescribes, either way it won’t make much of a difference how you maintain it, personally, I find that the Ellipse with Molly worked for me, I did try an al- ternative clinic, and I’m not sure if it was the therapist or the machine but after
28 sessions it made no difference, but one treatment with Molly and there was a noticeable differ- ence. Having dealt with
Hirsutisum for over 10 years, I know how frustrating it can be to worry every day if people notice the hair, and no amount of makeup fully cov- ers it either. My Advice, keep
doing what you need to do to maintain the growth, but con- sult your GP he or she may recommend a depilatory cream such as Vanique which is available by prescription only, it never worked for me, but it may work for you. I hope my advice helps. X Joanne. This is my week
two of using SmoothSkin Muse, and I have to say, I’m delighted. My arm hair is
quite thick and course as a result of my condition, and SmoothSkin Muse is super easy to use, I have my routine down now. Shave the area
first, then I white pencil the areas I want to laser, and off we go. There’s a built in
fan in the laser so as it penetrated the roots it auto cools the area, so it’s less uncomfortable and practically zero red- ness. Two weeks in and I’m defiantly notic-

ing the difference, I’ll put some pictures in next week of both my face and arms, to show you just how well my treatments are working. Once upon a time
there was a girl who thought she would
be stuck with this hair all over forev- er… not anymore Until next week Joanne X
