TECHNOLOGY Intro Programming
You mean the teacher actually wants us to play video games? In class? Are you serious!? Not only do students in Intro Programming get to play video games, they get to program the games they play! Game Maker is a professional software developer kit (SDK) that introduces students to the fundamentals of coding and does so through both drag-and-drop logic as well as GML, a scripting language based on C. Intro Programming is fun, fast-paced, and a great introduction to programming and logic and students have the privilege of learning while having fun.

Programming C++ I
C++ is the language the modern world uses to speak with machines. Were it not for C++, computer technology as we know it would not exist. This course introduces students to the most fundamental programming language and continues to teach students how to think and apply logic to solve discrete problems. Multiple studies have shown that students who learn C++, can learn any other programming language with relative ease.

3D Unity
Unity is the number one game development platform in the world. Since its inception in 2005, Unity has taken the world by storm by offering simple and straightforward game development in both C and Java languages while also offering near universal portability to consoles, computers, and smartphones alike. This course focuses on the study of object oriented programming and does so by having students create fun and engaging games from the ground up. Besides, what’s better than having fun and playing games while you learn?

3D Max
Whether you’re watching a blockbuster film, playing a popular computer game, or using a modern appliance, the fact of the matter is that 3D computer design is critical to every aspect of our modern world. 3ds Max by Autodesk is professional level software used for movies, game design, and engineering. In this course, students start by learning how to visualize three dimensional objects in two dimensions. They then focus on the creation of basic 3D shapes and methods for transforming those shapes into ever more complex objects. In the end, students develop full 3D models and animations with the ultimate goal of creating a short film of their own design. The skills taught in this course are applicable to many different walks of life and are becoming ever more relevant by the day.
