MIDDLE SCHOOL • X-BIN COURSES Band (alternate days)


This ensemble gives students the opportunity to continue their study of a wind instrument. Students will develop technical proficiency on their instruments and learn to play a variety of musical styles. Musicians should have some prior experience with their instrument, and private lessons are beneficial but not required. This ensemble meets on alternate days and will perform throughout the year.


Orchestra (alternate days)


This is an ensemble for students of the violin, viola, cello, or bass. Students will develop technical proficiency on their instruments and build their ensemble skills. Volleyball Skills Clinic


This is a focused and intense skill development clinic for volleyball players.


Basketball Skills Clinic (boys) This is a focused and intense skill development clinic for basketball players.

This is a focused and intense skill development clinic for basketball players.


First Aid and CPR (alternate days) Middle School students are required to take this course at some point during 7th or 8th grade. This course uses the American Red Cross certification program for adult and pediatric first aid, CPR, and AED use.


Strength and Agility


This course focuses on helping students to improve their strength, agility, mobility, and quickness. Components include proper weightlifting technique, form running, agility drills, and stretching.


Building Construction


Are you curious about all of the steps involved in designing and constructing a building? Ever wonder about the work of engineers, electricians, masons, plumbers, or project managers? This course is for you! Using our construction project as a classroom, you’ll be out on our jobsite every day, learning about design, engineering, construction drawings, safety, and more.


Leadership Skills


Welcome, future leaders! In each session students will learn about what characteristics and skills make good leaders and how to capitalize on their strengths to be a good leader. Students will participate in planning events in the middle school community.


Painting Studio


A class designed for students to grow in their knowledge of foundational painting techniques and concepts. Students will participate in project and assessment design. This class is perfect for the student who desires more time to paint!


Crochet for a Cause


Learn a craft and give back to the community! We’ll be making hats, blankets, scarves for local organizations and people in need.
