Looking For Young Couple Who Helped Elderly Gentleman

Travelling to Asda Linwood on a Tuesday evening approx a month ago. The clutch of my car broke, leaving my car in a dangerous position. A young couple stopped and helped me move my car clear of the traffi c. They helped me and my friend continue our journey to Kilbarchan. Kindly contact me via email if this was you. Please email rossagencies@hotmail.co.uk

Welcome Boost For Erskine Veterans

The veterans’ charity Erskine, who care for 1400 ex-Service men and women every year, have received a welcome boost with a donation of £2,708. The vital funds were raised as the result of a joint charity football match organised by the Goodyear Social Club in Drumchapel and First Bus Scotstoun. Not content with donations from the football match Thomas Clark of First Bus Scotstoun, Charles Devlin and John Leishman organised a further fundraising social night on 5th March. Erskine Fundraiser Susan O’Neill, who was presented with the cheque by Thomas Clark, said: “We would like to thank The Goodyear Social Club and First Bus Scotstoun for this very generous donation. Every penny we receive goes towards ensuring the country’s veterans receive the very highest standard of care. Erskine can only provide this care with the support of loyal donors such as Goodyear and First Bus.”
