200th Edition!
After 16 years we hit our 200th edition of the magazine in its present form. Monthly? Yes, the maths doesn’t work out, but the fi rst editions in 1990’s were published fortnightly. The one pictured here is the very FIRST ever Advertiser from 1900.

Outdoor Living Exhibition - Sat 7th May, Kilmacolm
An exhibition of garden furniture and accessories supplied by Gibb Stuart Home Hardware will take place on Saturday 7th May in the large hall of the new Kilmacolm Community Centre from 10am to 4pm.
Solar Power Scotland will also be present with a display of their green- energy products.
At the time of writing, some other participants had also expressed an interest to take a display and we understand that refreshments will be provided from within the Centre in conjunction with Java Minute.
It’s well worth a visit, so keep the date in your diary! Kilmacolm Community Centre - Transformed!
For anyone who has visited, you’ll agree that the transformation, both inside and outside is really quite astounding. However, I don’t want to gloat, since the Centre is open to all, not just Kilmacolmics. Do you have an event or function which would benefi t by utilising the newly refurbished Kilmacolm Community Centre?

Knapps Show Entries
Entry forms for the Industrial Section are now available at Blackwood’s Butchers, Kilmacolm. Entries must be lodged by Friday 13th May, so time to get busy! The show will be held on Saturday 14th May.
KEYS FOUND

California Dreaming
Blistering hot, clear blue skies, wall to wall sunshine, skiing through the day followed by a barbeque in the evening, it must be California.
Actually no, Aviemore on Sunday 10th April. On holiday for some mountain- biking in the Cairngorms, I couldn’t miss the opportunity on offer.
Not wishing to sound too pessimistic, but I am sure it’s a once in a lifetime experience. What a day, what a holiday... in Scotland !
