The Kilbarchan Singers – Summer Concert


The Singers are pleased to have donated over £600 from the proceeds of their February concert in the Wynd Centre, Paisley, shared between Accord and St Vincent’s Hospices.


The Choir now look forward to their Summer Concert on Saturday 14th May, taking place in Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, St James Street, Paisley. Tickets £8 (Students £5). The concert starts at 7.30pm.


Their guest soloist is Marie-Claire Breen, one of the most exciting young sopranos in Scotland, a graduate of the RSAMD and is a young artiste at Scottish Opera.


The music will include Poulenc’s Gloria, Monteverdi’s Beatus Vir, the great Coronation anthem, I was Glad (Parry), and works by Gershwin, Dowland and others, a great mixture of music for a Summer’s evening.


The choir is under the direction of their new Musical Director James Slimings, accompanied on the organ by Geoffery Woollatt, and a great evening of music is in store. Tickets are available from choir members or by phoning 0141 580 6292.

Steve Roberts hosted an other successful charity night for Teenage Cancer Trust in association with Easyrecruit at Glasgow’s Exclusive 29 Club where X-Factor singer Laura White performed to a very enthusiastic crowd. Steve is in discussions with Laura about performing at this years Bridge of Weir Gala Day. Also giving supporting Teenage Cancer trust on the night were legends of the football world including Dixie Deans and Andy Goram. Chloe Sandison cancer survivor pictured with Steve shows you can fi ght this disease and go on to help others.
