The Royal Tenenbaums. Directed by Wes Anderson. Hollywood, CA: Touchstone Pictures, 2001. This movie delves into the lives of the highly dysfunctional Tenenbaum family, in which each of the adult children suffers under the weight of their parents’ expectations. It is a compelling, if exaggerated, take on the way family roles stick.
