Las Vegas Sands vient de faire part de ses pro- jets d'extension pour son complexe casino Sands Bethlehem situé à Bethlehem, en Pennsylvanie, pour un montant de 90 millions de dollars US. La construction devrait débuter au cours du premier trimestre 2017. L'extension comptera une nouvelle surface de jeux de plus de 1000 sièges ainsi qu'un espace restaurant supplémentaire, des toilettes publiques et d'autres installations logistiques.
Les toutes premières machines de jeux d'argent vidéo basées sur les compétences (VGM) créées par GameCo sont dorénavant installées et opérationnelles au Harrah's Atlantic City. A new casino project has been identified by the BCLC with the relocation of an existing licence to a new location in Greater Vancouver

Te British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC) has selected Delta in Greater Vancouver as the location for a future casino project south of Fraser River.
Te licence will be relocated from the Newton Community Gaming Centre. Gateway Casinos & Entertainment Ltd., the private-sector service provider of the Newton Community Gaming Centre, would own or lease the potential gambling facility in Delta on BCLC’s behalf, and operate it on a day-to-day basis.
BCLC has concluded its Expression of Interest (EOI) process in the South of the Fraser market area and has selected the Corporation of Delta as the preferred host local government for a potential new gambling and entertainment facility. On June 1, 2016, BCLC invited Delta, the City of Surrey and Tsawwassen First Nation (TFN) to express interest in hosting a potential gambling and entertainment facility. Delta and TFN responded with interest; Surrey declined.

Sands Bethlehem applies to add an extra 1,000 gaming spaces

Las Vegas Sands has announced plans for a $90m casino expansion at its Sands Bethlehem casino resort in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
With construction expected to begin in the first quarter of 2017, the expansion will add a new gaming floor and more than 1,000 new gaming seats, along with additional restaurant space, public restrooms and further back of house facilities. Te footprint expansion is approximately 59,200sq.ft. and a total gross floor area expansion of almost 100,000.

A spokesperson at BCLC said: “While Delta has suggested the Delta Town and Country Inn as a potential location, BCLC has determined that it is not a suitable location due to its distance from the identified market opportunity and its proximity to the River Rock Casino Resort. In collaboration with Gateway, BCLC will determine a more suitable location that, combined with size and scope details, will form a gaming facility proposal for Delta’s consideration. BCLC respects the authority of local governments to choose whether they want a gambling facility in their community and will only consider pursuing development in communities where local governments indicate interest.”

Sands Bethlehem has had several major changes in 2016; Buddy V’s Ristorante and Emeril’s Fish House opened in the spring, Infusion lounge was removed to make way for the nation’s largest stadium-style electronic table games, and the hotel underwent an all-room renovation, including the addition of the Chairman’s Lounge & Suites located on the 15th floor.
Te casino expansion is proposed within the existing parking lot located to the north of the casino. Te existing parking lot will be reduced in size, however parking will be provided within the casino property as well as the recently constructed parking lot near the Hoover Mason Trestle.

DEQ Systems Corp. has confirmed that its shareholders have approved a special resolution authorising the previously announced plan of arrangement pursuant to which SG Canada Acquisitions, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Scientific Games Corporation, will acquire all of the outstanding common shares in the capital of DEQ for a cash payment of CDN$0.38 per common share of DEQ. Te special resolution, which required the approval of at least two-thirds of the votes cast by shareholders, was approved by 96.49 per cent of the votes cast by shareholders. It is anticipated that the transaction will be completed in the fourth quarter of 2016 or the first quarter of 2017 following the satisfaction or waiver of all the conditions of closing, including among other things, receipt of the Court’s approval.
