Las Vegas Sands kündigen eine 90 Mio.US Dollar teure Erweiterung ihres Spielbankstandorts Sands Bethlehem in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, an. US Dollar in ein großes Kasino- und Vergnügungszentrum in Japan zu investieren, sollte das Glücksspiel dort zugelassen werden. Eine im vergangenen Monat abgehaltene Parlamentsausschusssitzung in Tokio hat die Zuversicht genährt, dass die entsprechende Gesetzgebung bis Ende des Jahres verabschiedet sein könnte.

Distributor D-Systems has launched the STORK terminal from EGT on the German market at an event held at the Joker’s Place Casino in Cottbus. D-Systems launched products from EGT’s multiplayer division, which were first installed in the region several months prior to the event in two identical configurations of six STORKs with an automated roulette wheel.


Guests including Emilia Tomachinska, managing director of D-Systems, Torsten Schürkötter, general manager of Joker’s Place Casino, Anja Bohms, CEO of Land Brandenburg Lotto, and Ingo Edelmann, business director of BSB KG, were able to sample the STORK terminals in both the smoking and non- smoking areas of the gaming establishment.

Jeremy Tompson-Hill has left his role as chief executive of NYX Gaming’s OpenBet division. Tompson-Hill has spent 16 years with OpenBet, holding a host of management positions and taking on his current role in March 2013.


Despite stepping down as chief executive, Tompson-Hill, who played a major role in the acquisition of OpenBet by NYX earlier this year will remain a close advisor to the company for at least two years. Te news comes after NYX this week published its results for the three months to September 30.


NYX chief executive Matt Davey also said the firm would be adopting a new operating model to secure more growth. As part of this new strategy, NYX said it plans to centralise core business functions of finance, human resource, client management and customer services at its headquarters in London.
