Reverie Unveils Bar-Free Adjustable Base Retainer System By Christopher Schriever

Reverie is bringing a major innovation to the winter Las Vegas Market with the introduc- tion of ProGrip, a retainer designed to hold mattresses in place without the bars that many consumers say remind them of hospi- tal beds. The patent-pending ProGrip is de- signed to work with any adjustable-friendly mattress in the market and hold it into place during head or foot elevation. Traditionally a retainer bar—or bracket—is

bolted to the foot of an adjustable bed base to keep the mattress from sliding around when getting in and out of the bed. Reverie’s new ProGrip is made of a proprietary material that “grips” the mattress to keep everything securely in place while eliminating the indus- trial or hospital look often associated with ad- justable bed bases. As with Revere’s corner retainer bars, ProGrip technology ensures lumbar support. “From the showroom to the bedroom, tra- ditional retainers tend to make even the most stylish adjustable foundation look a bit indus-

trial. We challenged our R & D team to create a new accessory that eliminates this problem without sacrificing functionality,” said Reverie President and CEO Martin Rawls-Meehan. “We’re proud to be the first to offer a high- end retainer that allows consumers to seam- lessly integrate their adjustable bed base into their bedroom furniture and actually enhance their décor.”

Moving forward, ProGrip will be a standard

feature in Reverie adjustable bed foundations starting with the Reverie 5D and up. Retain- er bars will still be included in every package for customers that want to use them. Reverie will send retailers an easy-to-use kit to make their current floor models bar-free and ready for display. Visit reverie.com

Dormeo N.A. Is Putting More Under the Mattress With New Storage Base By Brooke S. Pisarsky

In response to increasing consumer demands for space saving solutions—particularly in the bedroom—Dormeo N.A. will introduce its Elite Platform Storage Base at the upcoming win- ter Las Vegas Market. Set to retail at $499 in queen, this new base is the company’s first product intended to increase storage space for consumers at affordable price points. Each Elite Platform Storage Base includes two interchangeable 15-gallon drawers with the option of adding two additional drawers for more storage space if needed. The optional ad- ditional drawers fit directly underneath the plat- form bedframe to provide extra storage without taking up space on the floor. Constructed from solid angle iron that has been bolted to particle-

board for extra durability, the base is specifically designed to support a Dormeo mattress with- out the need for a box spring—while its versatile design aesthetic easily integrates into a con- sumer’s already-furnished home. “We are dedicated to providing the best sleep solutions for our customers and are con- stantly looking for ways to enhance our mod- els,” said Dormeo N.A. Chief Executive Officer Jon Stowe. “Consumer demands for additional storage has never been higher. We developed this new platform base following conversa- tions with many of our retail partners looking for a way to increase ticket sales while provid- ing customers a wider variety of products to provide space saving solutions.” Visit trydormeo.com
