As in 2013, products that feature innovation and sustainability will again be on display and will compete for an award

AWARDS WILL RECOGNISE INNOVATION AND SUSTAINABILITY As part of its commitment to research and development applied to pool facilities, the exhibition will once again include the Piscina & Wellness Barcelona 2015 Awards for innovation and sustainability. All operational facilities in the sector that have been built or refurbished in the last two years, and all products on display at the show designed in accordance with innovation and sustainability criteria may compete for an award. The jury, made up of professionals selected by the Catalonia Institute of Construction Technology (ITeC), will be choosing the winners in six different categories this year, two connected with product innovation and
is still one of its cornerstones, helping to fuel export growth, foster international business relations and promote experience and know-how exchange among professionals from different countries”

The Exhibition’s internationality
Electro Engineering are just one of a number of exhibitors that will be flying the flag for British companies
sustainability and four with design and refurbishment of facilities already in use. The awards will consist of diplomas, to be presented at an evening event held on 14 October at the Piscina & Wellness Barcelona show.
From 15 October onwards, the products and facilities that have won the 2015 Piscina & Wellness Awards and their European counterparts, the EUSA Awards, will be exhibited, with an award-giving ceremony hosted by the exhibition.
OTHER ATTRACTIONS FOR 2015 This year, there will be the Innovation Zone. This is a cross-functional area which will transform the exhibition into an industry hub, offering a range of activities on internationalisation, financing, technology and innovation. There will be interviews and business meetings with international buyers, coworking spaces, and presentations and talks. There will also be an area for displaying the trade fair’s most innovative products and services, together with a speaker corner where selected companies will give technical presentations. The second Wellness & Spa Event will welcome around 30 speakers, including some of the sector’s most highly renowned Spanish and international architects, consultants,
entrepreneurs and managers. All of them will analyse the wellness industry and provide recommendations for developing the tourism and economic potential of these facilities. Networking spaces between professionals will also be provided at the event. Piscina & Wellness Barcelona will also host lectures and seminars, including the second edition of the Waterpark Symposium, in partnership with the European Waterpark Association (EWA) and the World Waterpark Association (WWA), which will address the safety regulations and efficient management of recreational facilities in water parks, hotels and camp sites.
For its part, ASOFAP will organise training courses for swimming pool installers and point- of-sale professionals. Lastly, with the Barcelona Experience programme, the exhibition will provide the opportunity to see some of the city’s most innovative facilities. There will be visits to wellness centres, water parks and demonstrations of water sports in the city’s swimming pools, in the latter case thanks to the cooperation agreement signed with the Royal Spanish Swimming Federation.
