Viron Pool And Spa Pumps – The Next Evolution In Energy Efficiency
AstralPool has introduced Viron, a new range of fully variable speed energy efficient pumps to suit all pool sizes, filtration systems and budgets. Viron has been carefully designed for ease of operation and for maximum life span in the most demanding working conditions. 316 stainless steel hardware, robust engineering plastics and high quality silicone seals create a pump that lasts.
The large liquid crystal display clearly shows the RPM of the motor and enables adjustment of the start-up priming time, priming flow rate, and visual display of each speed setting. The inbuilt 24 hour timer is easily enabled and provides up to four time periods each day with different speed settings to provide the perfect flow rate for each pool.
Three programmed speeds are factory preset and each speed can be adjusted with a simple press of an up or down button. Each pump speed can be changed to optimise the water flow to suit the pool shape, cleaner type, size and location, making the Viron range of pumps the most flexible and easy to use variable speed pumps on the market. Viron pumps are quiet too producing a level of noise that is not perceptible to the human ear.
Increasing or decreasing the speed of a pump simply changes the
flow rate by the same rate. Using a Viron pump, the energy consumed to change the speed and flow rate drops by more than 85% compared to conventional single speed pumps and by using up to 90% less energy during operation than a conventional single speed pump, the pumps also reduces greenhouse emissions by up to 90% (when power supplied from coal fired power plants) and achieve an annual energy cost saving up to £700. The Viron range consists of two models
– the Viron P320 and Viron P600. The Viron P320 is ideal for the average sized pool. It has a flow rate sufficient to back wash up to 30” or 800mm diameter sand filters. The Viron P600, a pump with an impressive 600 litres per minute flow rate, is ideal for larger pools, multiple spa jets, water features or in-floor cleaning systems.
