SWIMEX AMALGAMATES AND SAVES SCHOOL POOLS

Swimex Enclosures Ltd – the new company amalgamating Swimex’s Enclosure and SwimTech’s Technical Service businesses together under one umbrella – is Saving School Pools! With its pool dealer partners, Swimex is involved in several ‘Save our School Pool’ projects. Some schools are faced with a dilemma – put a proper cover over the old pool (sometimes with old buildings often brilliantly supplied by the PTA some 25 or 30 years ago), to get more usage with local swimming clubs and swim-schools, or fill in the pool and lose that facility completely (itself a costly exercise). As Official Galaxy Partner in the UK, Swimex are able to assist schools with this dilemma. The Galaxy is an arched fixed building with concertina bi-fold front, lift up sides

and is available up to 14m wide for commercial pools.

RESCUE SCHOOL POOLS CASE STUDIES:

Swimex has come to the rescue for several SOS projects in 2015 and for 2016 offer a full turnkey or will work in partnership with other contractors for ground concrete work, tiling etc. With Poolman in Chelmsford, Swimex combined at Earls Hall School (Essex County Council) to replace a very old, dilapidated design with a brand new Galaxy fixed building with lift up sides – including a couple of sections raised to extra height at one end to accommodate the existing air handling unit on top of the changing rooms. Swimex’s team completed the contract for Poolman by putting a bespoke Galaxy and then brand new rubber flooring throughout. At Hertingfordbury

a cheaper alternative from a mature manufacturer. Now there is a feeling of confidence out in the market, we are very glad that our pool professionals, old and new, some working with us since the old Eureka days with Jeff and myself, are now talking to Swimex about fixed Galaxy, to complement our EasyGlide telescopic enclosure, offering their clients a choice.” For 2015/16, Swimex has a new company structure. Now moved on are former Finance Director Matthew Clipstone and Rob Owen, Installer. Their places are taken by Janet Perkins (who has vast finance and contract experience in the construction industry) and Piers Owen who is promoted to Technical Contract Team Leader.
