Buckley notes that many of AFR's account managers are able to help the clients to make the right furniture selections for their events. AFR also has the capability of creat- ing not just a regular CAD drawing, he says, but "We also can provide a 3-D floor plan as long as the client can supply the room dimensions and their vision on the flow of the event. We also have created an 'interactive wish list' on our website where clients can send us their needs and we will respond back to them within a 24-hour window.”


One way to help create a memorable event is through the use of lit furniture, observes Buckley, which he says creates a distinctive setting by reflecting a color palette or even delivering on branding or communicating a message. "Easily customizable, this ele- ment is flexible, and reflects a modern looking space.”


Hot this spring is a trend toward the color tangerine, notes Buckley. CColor options, along with style, can easily set the theme or create a focal point of a room. Furniture can add the bold splash of color you are looking for at your event.”


LINENS


According to Michelle Harris, account executive for Choice Party Linens, Inc., unique linens are often overlooked in favor of the basic linens that are more common- ly included in catering packages or with venue rentals. But it is important to note that linens can help set the atmosphere of the event, and should reflect the planner's taste in both color and material.


"There is no easier or more effective way to enhance an event than by using great tablecloths,” asserts Harris. "If your budget does not allow for upgraded cloths on every table, try to do something interesting on a few key tables. Linens are the base from which anything is possible, so even
