The Kutztown Folk Festival was a 2008 ABA choice for Top 100 Events, and is an annual celebration of Pennsylvania Dutch and early American folk life enjoyed by people of all ages. The family friendly event features PA Dutch family-style foods, including ox roasts, pies, pastry and other treats. Live music and dancing, comedy, the world's largest quilt auction, parades and bands, as well as fiddling, story telling and historical seminars round out the experience.
Koziar's Christmas Village beckons peo- ple from near and far during the holiday season. Annually, the village lights up the winter sky with thousands of lights that decorate its buildings, trees and Christmas displays. A holiday tradition for many, groups are always welcome.
The Annual Berks Jazz Fest is a ten-day musical event held annually in March that
features jazz performances across Greater Reading. Free and ticketed con- certs include new talent and jazz legends.
Sports enthusiasts can catch a Reading Phillies game at FirstEnergy Stadium, or checkout the Reading Royals hockey team and the Reading Express football team at The Sovereign Center during the winter and spring months.
