When it comes to putting together the perfect event, there are plenty of elements to be concerned about dur- ing the planning process. Mistakes, oversights and poor choices can hurt the end product, making an event memorable for all the wrong reasons.


Audio-visual and lighting comprise several key compo- nents of an event. Having the right appearance, sound and ambience in place can go a long way toward leav- ing guests with a positive impression, and raving about it for days and weeks after it is over.


According to Steve Wildemann, president of Advanced Staging, "Adding the correct lighting, staging or audio- visual, as subjective as that may be, can make all the dif- ference in the world to your event. The trick is not to add it just for the sake of adding it. All elements should have
