The Florida International University College of Law summer abroad program takes advan- tage of this unique site to offer an intensive experience in both U.S. and Spanish law. The program is designed to go beyond simply an extended visit abroad. The courses, faculty, student body and site visits are selected to provide a real understanding of Spanish legal culture.
A 6 week/6 credit program in comparative and international law taught in English. Program includes visits to the Spanish Con- stitutional and Supreme Courts. The Criminal Law course students will travel to the Hague and observe trials and other proceedings. Outstanding summer experience.
Madrid is one of Europe’s most vibrant and stylish cities combining the cultural and histori- cal grandeur of Spain’s medieval and imperial past with some of the most exciting nightlife in the EU. All classes are taught in English, and there will be visits to leading global law firms. A range of inexpensive but comfortable accom- modations is offered, giving students attractive choices for housing.
Santander is a beautiful resort commu- nity with breathtaking beaches and a very temperate climate. It is a financial center and former home to the world’s fifth largest bank. The campus is a short walk from the beach and city center.
