The two-week program focuses on the cut- ting edge of alternative dispute resolution in a cross-cultural setting. The 3 credit hours in- volve a combination of workshops, role-play exercises, lectures and other presentations. Each workshop group is diversified to contain as many nationalities as possible, creating an international experience like no other program of its kind.
Summer legal studies program in Berlin, Ger- many. Students earn 5 credits in European Union Law and Global Issues in Corporate Law. Classes take place in a historic building in the Mitte district of Berlin, now home to the European School of Management and Technology. Lodging is not included with the program.
Verbum Novum offers for students the SUMMER COLLEGE in Berlin. This program includes accommodation in student resi- dence/double room with breakfast + German Course (20 lessons per week), interesting excursions and free activities in Berlin and around Berlin.
4.5 credits. Classes in Cologne, travel to Paris and Brussels. A Rhine River cruise viewing hilltop castles, the museum of Beethoven, Augustusburg Palace, local courts and city hall. In Brussels, a visit to the European Union Government and residence of the U.S. Ambassador to Belgium. Housing includes breakfast in every city in private, double, hostel rooms. Externships available.
Hofstra Law School is delighted to partner with the Max Planck Institute for Foreign and International Criminal Law, a dedicated research institute in the fields of German, foreign, and international criminal law and criminology. The Institute is located in Freiburg, situated in the Black Forest area of the southwestern tip of Germany. Housing is included in the program fee.
