This program offers a unique opportunity to study international and comparative law at the prestigious University of International Business and Economics Law School (UIBE). UIBE Law School faculty includes leading authorities on various aspects of China\’s emerging corporate securities law, com- mercial law, and international arbitration of commercial disputes.


The Jesuit Beijing Center is located within UIBE,& includes modest western style apart- ments. Students are issued cell phones for easy communication with program translators. Enrichment: 3 day trip via air to Xian and guided tours of most of the major sites of Beijing. Supreme Court; law offices; lectures on Intl Public & Commercial Law; many social events.


The 2012 China IP Summer Program, in its fifth year, continues to focus on the growing role of China in IP law. The courses will emphasize Chinese laws and legal institu- tions governing IP. This year’s program will feature Chief Judge James Holderman of the US Federal District Court for the Northern District of Illinois presiding over a Sino-US comparative mock trial program.


Earn 4 summer credits in 3 weeks in one of the most beautiful cities in the world, Hangzhou, China. Classes are held mornings only and taught in English. Highlights include distinguished speakers and experts in the field of international law, a visit to Beijing Supreme Court, optional weekend trips to other cities including Shanghai and Beijing, optional half-day trips to neighboring scenic sites.


Hong Kong’s legal, business, social and cultural environment integrates the unique culture of China with a very Western ap- proach. Ideal for students who want to study business and foreign trade in Hong Kong and China while engaging in a comparative study of Chinese, British, U.S. and Australian legal systems.
